WS23 course “Tools II” by Prof. Andreas Kramer, which concluded with preparation for the Rimowa Design Prize 2024 competition, had the theme of “Mobility.”
A colabration with Prof. Andreas Kramer i got inspiration from the balancing technique of the Segway, which keeps itself balanced using a gyroscope function under the standing point. I interpreted it more practically for use more reality and envisioned it as a potential main electric cart for logistics companies or furniture companies like DHL and IKEA. This cart can be used semi-automatically; by pushing the “Balancing Activate” button on the grip, the cart will calculate all the weights itself and remain balanced at any angle. I also included a function where the middle of the cart’s main body can be widened on both sides by linear actuators, increasing the surface area to carry more items.
